KMBI Opens Another Branch In Laguna

.KMBI’s 49th branch, Calamba, formally launched its services to Program Members residing in the areas of Cabuyao, Canlubang, and Calamba on July 20, 2017. The newly instated office is operating at 2/F Auyonick Bldg., Parian, Calamba City.

In attendance to the event was KMBI President and Vice-Chairman, Mr. Eduardo C. Jimenez. He called into mind in his inspirational message that KMBI owes debt of gratitude to its Program Members.

“If there were no Program Members, KMBI would not exist,” he told the members.

The president added that the organization is deeply committed to improve its programs and services for its clients. He also confides that KMBI will remain trustworthy and loyal to its mission of alleviating poverty.

Also gracing the occasion were Deputy Executive Director for the Management Services Group, Ms. Madelyn P. Frijillano, Regional Director for Luzon Operations, Ms. Rachelle M. Basiya, Regional Director for VisMin Operations, Ms. Amelita T. Andilab, P&D Manager Mr. Hector H. Celajes Jr., and CALABARZON Area Manager, Mr. Philip B. Bautista.

In a client testimony, one Program Member, Ms. Emelyn Olido, shared her homecoming experiences with KMBI. She left after four cycles due to unwanted events in her center, but she did not hesitate to join again right after hearing that KMBI made its return to Calamba. She related what drew her most to KMBI—topnotch insurance services and fair policies.

KMBI Deploys Satellite Unit in Bicol

KMBI is now welcoming Program Members in Ligao starting July 4, 2017. The Ligao Satellite Unit is operating at A. Mabini Street, Brgy. Bagumbayan, Ligao City.

Present in the occasion were Regional Director for Luzon Operations, Ms. Rachelle M. Basiya and Iriga Branch Manager, Mr. Dante Mirabel.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Basiya attested that KMBI staff are born to excel. All KMBI officers once started as a PO, and grew in experience throughout their journey.

A Program Member, Ms. Erlinda Carubia, expressed her joy and thankfulness to KMBI for bringing its services to their barangay, which was reinforced by another testimony from Ms. Menchie Tolarva, who sought honor from being a Program Member of KMBI.

“I see the beauty of KMBI’s mission and vision; the organization is genuinely committed to their promise of giving us a progressive life,” Ms. Tolarva said.

KMBI’s 4th BM Conference Brings Together 52 BMs

Fifty-two Branch Managers from all over the country assembled on July 12-14, 2017 for their fourth Branch Managers’ (BM) Conference to revisit the branches’ operational performance for the first half of 2017.

Held at the Sequoia Hotel, Mother Ignacia St., Quezon City, the three-day convention sought to identify strengths and issues of the credit operations and formulate workarounds for more efficient delivery of financial and non-financial services.

Regional Director for Luzon Operations, Ms. Rachelle M. Basiya, led the opening remarks. Alluding leaders’ courage to an eagle, she encouraged participants to perish their fear of taking risks when making decisions. The rest of the first day was highlighted with Pureit reinforcements; orientation on KMBI Development Foundation, Inc. (KDFI) headed by its Program Director, Mr. Reginold D. delos Reyes; updates on the Branch Operating Manual by Acting Manager for Client Transformation, Mr. Timothy John A. Pasicolan; orientation on the Client Protection Principle facilitated by Ms. Hazel Christine R. Bayaca, Deputy Executive Director for Transformational Development and Training Group (TDTG).

A new addition to the Microinsurance program of KMBI was also introduced during the second day – the Personal Accident Insurance, which aims to cover Program Members and their families in case of accidents.

The second day was capped off with a message from the KMBI President and Vice-Chairman, Mr. Eduardo C. Jimenez. In his closing remarks, Mr. Jimenez emphasized that KMBI’s greatest asset is its manpower. He also lauded all KMBI staff in complementing each other to sustain the organization’s mission.

Former Deputy Executive Director for the Credit Operations Group and incoming Surallah Branch Manager, Mr. Rhany P. Barrera, concluded the three-day conference with his acquired perspective on leadership from the book, “The Way of the Shepherd”. He relayed how managers can apply the book in modern day leadership to guide their subordinates toward motivation.

Since 2014, the BM Conference is being held annually to discuss issues within the operations and hone the leadership and technical skills of KMBI’s Branch Managers.

Expanded ManCom Reconvenes for Q2 Review

The Expanded Management Committee recently held its second quarter meeting at the Sequoia Hotel, Quezon City on July 10-11, 2017. The Expanded Management meeting was attended by Deputy Executive Directors, Department Directors, Managers, Area Managers, and Officers-In-Charge. For the second quarter’s meeting, four selected Branch Managers were invited to join the activity.

KMBI President and Vice-Chairman, Mr. Eduardo C. Jimenez, formally opened the assembly. Mr. Jimenez emphasized the role of the staff in securing solid operations and effective execution of KMBI’s transformational programs.

On the following day, Deputy Executive Director for Transformational Development and Training Group (TDTG), Ms. Hazel Christine R. Bayaca, shared her insights from the recently mounted convention of the Philippine Society for Training and Development Foundation (PSTD).

The second day of the meeting was also graced by KMBI partners: Unilever Pureit; First Life Financial Company, Inc.; and Pinoy Ako Insurance Services (PAIS). First Life conducted reinforcements on the Microinsurance policies and solicited current problems being encountered by the people in the field.

PAIS also introduced the Personal Accident Insurance as a new addition to the Microinsurance program of KMBI, intended to protect the Program Members and their families from any financial toll caused by accidents.

The quarterly meeting fulfills KMBI’s affirmation of transparency, as an important component of the organization to remain connected, unified, and true to its mission. The issues and recommendations presented in the meeting will be used to further improve KMBI’s services to both staff and clients.
